The island’s popular culture attributes the sowing of this magnolia to Ferdinand II, who loved to hunt on the island: he knew himself here a beautiful islander who began to court. When finally the king of Naples made her fall in love, in memory of the enterprise of love, planted this magnolia in front of the farmhouse.
